1. Who I am

Prajwal Branding is the freelance web design and SEO business of Prajwal Venkatesha, a sole proprietor based in Karnataka, India. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean me, and “you” means anyone who visits prajwalbranding.com or contacts me.

2. What I collect

Information you give me

• Free website audit form: your first name and email address.
• Contact form: your name, email address, type of business, country, and website address if you share it.
• Call bookings: your name, email address, chosen time and time zone, and anything you add to the booking notes.
• Emails, calls and messages: whatever you choose to tell me when we talk by email, video call or WhatsApp.
• Clients: billing details needed to invoice you, and logins or access you share so I can work on your website.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics, only if you accept cookies: pages you visit, how you arrived, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type.
• Email engagement: whether my emails are delivered and opened, and which links are clicked.
• Server logs: my web host keeps standard logs, including IP addresses, for security.

I don’t ask for sensitive information such as health or financial account details, and I ask you not to send it.

3. How I use your information

• To send you the free website audit and a short series of follow-up emails (three emails over about a week).
• To reply to your enquiry, hold the call you booked, and send you a quote.
• To deliver the work we agree on, invoice you and keep business and tax records.
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the website.
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam.

I don’t sell, rent or trade your personal data, and I don’t use it for automated decisions that affect you.

4. Legal basis

If you’re in the UK or EU, data protection law requires me to tell you the legal basis for each use:

• Consent: follow-up emails and analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Steps before a contract, and the contract itself: replying to enquiries, calls, quotes and client work.
• Legal obligation: keeping invoices and tax records.
• Legitimate interests: website security, spam prevention and server logs.

I also handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

5. Services I use

I use trusted providers to run the website and my business. They process data only on my instructions:

6. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This website uses:

• Essential cookies that make the site and forms work. These don’t need your consent.
• Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, set only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

7. International transfers

I’m based in India, and some of the providers above store data in the United States or elsewhere. This means your data may be processed outside your country. Where the law requires it, these providers use recognised safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses approved for transfers from the UK and EU.

8. How long I keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe. I remove inactive subscribers after [12 months].
• Enquiries and calls that don’t become projects: [24 months], then deleted.
• Client records and invoices: as long as Indian tax law requires.
• Analytics: [14 months], set in Google Analytics.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask me to:

• tell you what personal data I hold about you and give you a copy
• correct anything that’s wrong
• delete your data
• stop or limit how I use it, or object to it
• send your data to you or another service in a common format
• withdraw consent you’ve given

Every email I send has an unsubscribe link. For anything else, email hello@prajwalbranding.com. I’ll reply within 30 days, and there’s no charge.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to your local regulator, for example the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, your national data protection authority in the EU, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

10. Security

I use HTTPS across the site, strong passwords with two-factor authentication on my accounts, and keep WordPress and plugins up to date. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your data, I’ll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

11. Children

This website and my services are for businesses and adults. I don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent me their details, contact me and I’ll delete them.

12. Changes to this policy

I’ll update this page if the way I handle data changes, and change the “last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, I’ll email the people on my list.
